Easy Mocha using Jot Ultra Coffee

January 26, 2021 By Christian Speegle Leave a Comment

So this is a little bit out of order since I haven’t posted my review and first impressions on Jot Ultra Coffee, but rest assured, it will be coming. As I was typing it, I realized I didn’t take any photos for it! So after a photo shoot, you’ll get to hear all about what I think of Jot. It’s obviously positive!

For some reason, I just haven’t been experimenting with coffee drinks as much lately. I drink my smart coffee with cream in the morning, and then I usually drink a regular coffee in the afternoon- sweetener only.

It’s a miracle I have drank coffee all these years in the first place. I go through stages with everything. I’ll love something for a while, and then I’ll be completely over it. While I do go back and forth with how I drink my coffee, I always drink coffee.

This is so fun that I want to experiment with coffee again!

I am pretty hooked on this Jot stuff, and since it’s almost espresso like in some ways, I decided to go ahead and make myself a mocha with it. I was making hot cocoa bombs like crazy, and even though I’m not usually a cocoa drinker, I started to crave some. I used my leftover hot chocolate mix and some vanilla almond milk for a frothy, creamy base for my latte.

I confess, I had a fear that maybe the Jot wouldn’t stand up to the milk and hot chocolate mix, but I was super wrong! It was actually surprisingly strong. I only used the 1 tablespoon and 10 oz. of milk, but it was stronger than some espresso drinks I’ve had! It gave me some pep in my step for a day when I was barely awake enough to make coffee.

A huge shout out to my Ninja Coffee Maker for the built in frother! I may not have had to brew anything for this, but oh my goodness. That froth is legendary and I am super proud of myself (and my Ninja.) I almost didn’t want to add any topping, but who am I kidding? I piled on those marshmallows!

Oh my froth! Look at me go.

Not only is this drink lovely to look at it, it’s even lovelier to sip. I like Jot so much that I love to drink it plain, but I am also excited to look at some recipes and try some new creations, or maybe revisit some old creations using my Jot.

If you haven’t heard of it or tried it before, here’s a link https://jot.co/products/jot?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI75-S39S67gIVrFPVCh2DrQ2yEAAYASAAEgLOxfD_BwE

It’s a fairly new product on the scene, so if you’ve already tried it, please share your experience! I would love to hear about it.

Hot Mocha Latte

  • 10oz. of unsweetened vanilla almond milk, or milk of choice
  • 2-3 T. hot chocolate mix
  • 1 T. Jot Ultra Coffee
  • sweetener to taste
  • marshmallows or whipped cream for topping, optional

Microwave your milk for about 2 minutes. Add your hot chocolate mix to your hot milk and froth it with a hand frother or a small whisk. Add in your Jot and sweeten it to taste. Top off your delicious concoction with mini marshmallows or whipped cream to add a lovely final touch.
