I have gotten coffee from this awesome place before, but on Black Friday, I decided to go wild and order quite a bit of coffee. It legitimately would not all fit in my mail box! Since my boyfriend got me the subscription to Grounds and Hounds coffee already, I decided I would order from Puppy and Paws this time.
They had a spectacular deal for Black Friday so I decided to go with the gift box option where you can choose 3 coffees in whole bean or ground. I picked Mastiff Espresso, Mixed Breed, and Chocolate Lab, all in whole bean.
As you can tell, the names are super cute and creative. I picked 3 kinds I had never tried before. I hate to say that I can’t remember the first kind I tried, but I know I tried the Pit Bull and German Shepherd coffees and they were both fantastic. Something I really love about this company is that half the proceeds go to animal rescues and one of them is a pit bull rescue! I was super thrilled about that. The mission and the coffee are both amazing.
When I received my box, I got a surprise. The treats included are a norm for this awesome company, but since there was a slight delay on my whole bean variety, the wonderful owner included an extra bag of coffee called “Husky Holiday” with a handwritten note.
It’s really rare that I love everything about a company. There are a lot of good companies out there, but the kind personal touch to the products, the mission, and the amazing coffee have me in love with Puppy and Paws Coffee Co. One of the things that amazes me is their flavored coffee. As I said, I knew their coffee was wonderful before I ordered the gift box, but I had never tried their flavored coffees before. The “Chocolate Lab” is a milk chocolate flavored coffee and also the first bag I opened. I’m always really hesitant about trying flavored coffee. So far, there are only one or two places I will order flavored coffee from because the “flavors” can easily give it an unpleasantly artificial taste. I am thrilled to say that the “Chocolate Lab” is one I can confidently order again. It is definitely chocolatey, but the flavor isn’t overpowering and it doesn’t have the slightest bit of artificial flavor to it at all.
I was so impressed by the chocolatey flavor that I made a latte with it before I left the house. I brewed the “Chocolate Lab” using the “Specialty” setting on my Ninja Coffee Bar, added a cup of vanilla almond milk and sweetener, and topped the 20oz. travel mug off with some ice before heading out the door. It has a sweet and delicious flavor and I’m going to love the simplicity of making a flavored latte before work. The “Husky Holiday” is a peppermint mocha and I can’t wait to give that one a try. My goal is to use it in one of my “fancy coffee”‘ recipes and share it here on my blog. If you have any ideas, feel free to share!
This coffee and this company get a 10 out of 10 for me. I would recommend their coffee to anyone who enjoys high quality coffee and truly delicious flavored coffees. They also sell tea, which I have yet to try since I don’t drink tea nearly as often, but I hope to try it one of these days. When you check out the website, make sure you check out the dog toy section! They have some super cute dog toys, and if my dogs could blog, I’m sure they would write rave reviews on the treats.
