Grounds and Hounds Coffee Subscription #1

November 26, 2019 By Christian Speegle Leave a Comment

So the best boyfriend ever decided to get me a coffee subscription from Grounds and Hounds Coffee for the holidays. Having delicious coffee delivered to your door is pretty righteous, but knowing that it’s also helping dogs is even better! You can choose any of their blends to be delivered and you can choose however many bags you want. Fortunately for me, he got me the “Roaster’s Choice” option. This is perfect because I love trying new coffee and Grounds and Hounds also does seasonal roasts several times a year. With the “Roaster’s Choice” option, you get to try all the seasonal blends!

The seasonal blend they sent this time is called “Perfect With Pie.” I was so excited to open it because I had seen it advertised in their e-mail and I was dying to try it. I definitely wasn’t disappointed.

Do you remember your first sip of coffee? Maybe you smelled this amazing concoction brewing and you just knew that anything that smelled so good had to taste equally awesome. Maybe you were lucky enough to have parents or grandparents who made amazing coffee, but if you were like me, they made the regular old cheap standard and your first sip of coffee was nothing like the smell. To me, “Perfect With Pie” is the all-American coffee. When someone smells that delicious coffee, this is what we expect it to taste like in an ideal world- smooth and rich. It says it’s a medium roast but it tastes bold to me. Not dark or smoky at all, just bold and full bodied. It’s also very, very smooth. I can definitely see how it would be “Perfect With Pie,” but I think it’s also perfect to wake up to. I give my first shipment a 10 out of 10! I am so excited to see what else is in store for me.

Also, check out my awesome mug! Grounds and Hounds has a fun selection of coffee accessories and apparel. I’ve had this mug for a few years now and it has endured many washes and a lot of travel and it still looks great. It also keeps my drinks hot or cold for a super long time.

They recently released a 20oz. tumbler for part of their save the pit bulls collection and I put a bug in the boyfriend’s ear that my coffee would taste great out of that particular tumbler. Saving the pit bulls is my life goal so I definitely need a mug that tells the world!

Meanwhile, I’m enjoying my trusty old mug full of this deliciously bold coffee. Maybe in a couple days on Thanksgiving I’ll enjoy this coffee with some pie, but for now, I love pairing it with ripe bananas! Call me crazy, but only after you try it.

Have a blessed and happy Thanksgiving everyone!
