Peanut Butter Fudge Coffee

September 17, 2019 By Christian Speegle Leave a Comment

Yes, you read that right. I decided to make fudge coffee on a whim. Our tiny town has a fudge factory that makes some of the most delicious and creamy fudge I have ever tasted! I received some peanut butter fudge as a little thank you present and I got the brilliant idea of blending it into coffee.

You know those candy spoons they sell? That’s what it made me think of. If they can melt the chocolate off of a spoon into coffee, then melting in fudge can’t be that different. Also, I couldn’t believe I didn’t really find many other recipes like this. Who hasn’t wanted to add fudge into coffee before? Sugar and coffee are like my two favorite food groups! I guess you can call me a pioneer in this arena.

In this Nutri Ninja blender cup I have 2 tablespoons of fudge. See how creamy it is? It isn’t your average fudge. It’s a cut above the rest! Their flavor of the month is currently Nutella and I am so tempted to try this with Nutella fudge!

I have to admit, I didn’t picture the sweetener I added, but I did end up wanting it a little sweeter. The coffee I used was made in a Chemex. With a Chemex, you don’t get any sediment at all and that’s really hard to do with coffee. It’s nice to have a clear, clean brew when you’re trying something new like this, but of course you can use any coffee or brewing method you prefer. I do recommend using a light to medium roast however so you can really taste the fudge.

Check out how frothy it is! I would have liked it a little creamier as I said before, but that can be remedied by adding more fudge or a dash of coffee creamer. This has inspired me to think about making some of those coffee spoons using fudge. It would have to be a creamier fudge like this one but I think it would be neat to fill the spoon with fudge and then dip it all in a few coats of chocolate. It would be like a truffle coffee spoon. I have yet to see if the fudge would melt in without blending it so I have a feeling I’m going to be blogging about a practice run before I go giving these out at holiday time but it’s an idea!

Fudge Coffee

  • 1 1/2c. brewed coffee
  • 2-4 T. of creamy fudge
  • Creamer to taste
  • Sweetener to taste

Add all of your ingredients into a Nutri Ninja or regular blender. Blend on high for one minute to make sure the fudge is completely melted and incorporated. Pour the creamy concoction into a mug and enjoy the caffeinated sugar rush!
