Essential Oil Purse from Sew Grow

April 16, 2019 By Christian Speegle Leave a Comment

Let me just start this off by saying that this lovely clutch is what I call my “statement piece.” A statement piece is usually something super eye-catching or different. This clutch may not look wild or crazy, but for me, that’s exactly what makes it an unusual choice. I have to admit that this goes with nothing I own, yet I fell in love with it at first sight! I’m into Victorian era styling, but I tend to go for items with a darker vibe, yet somehow, this little purse in a print called “Betsey” became an item that I can’t live without.

For starters, it has a secret power. From the outside, it’s a completely normal everyday clutch, but when you open it, it’s made to safely hold my most valuable items: essential oils. The lining is even leak proof so if you have an “oil spill,” it won’t stain the beautiful fabric.

I discovered the brand Sew Grown when I did a search for essential oil cases. I found cases from several places, but they all had this plain look to them that just didn’t draw me in. When I stumbled upon this in my internet searches, I was in love! There are lots of prints to choose from, but for some reason, I couldn’t get my mind off of this one. When asked what I wanted for my quickly approaching birthday, this topped my list! It’s been almost a year since I’ve had it and it’s still in wonderful condition with no signs of wear.

The amazing quality of this piece can be attributed to the fact that it’s handmade by Americans with Disabilities. After I had already fallen in love with the product, I fell in love with the company too. It was started by a talented woman who had a knack for making lovely and high quality bags, and when she got so busy she couldn’t keep up with all the orders she’d received, she turned to Americans with Disabilities to help her keep up with the growing demand. As you can see, my little clutch has room for pretty much everything I need in here. Cash, cards, keys, a pen, nail clippers, and whatever else I happen to toss in on my travels. For my oils, I have mostly 5ml rollerballs in there, but I also have a 15ml bottle that it holds perfectly! The fact that it holds so many different sizes was a huge selling point for me. This is a dream come true for a glam oil lover.

In addition to this cute essential oil purse, they also sell a slightly larger crossbody version that I have my eye on. If it’s simply oil storage you’re looking for, they also sell versions that are made for only oils. You can find just about every shape and size to fit your personal oil needs- including a keychain version!

As you can probably tell by now, I adore my “statement piece.” If you wanna tote your own oils in style, you can check out the site here https://sewgrown.com/collections.If you see something you can’t live without, use the code “SPRINKLEOFSTARDUST” to snag your item for an additional 20% off.

If you do decide to purchase from Sew Grown, drop a picture here! I would love to see what your statement piece is.
