I’m just gonna start this off by saying that this is going to be a short and sweet post because this is a really simple recipe. However, it also makes an amazing gift to give to loved ones. Handmade products can be inexpensive as well as thoughtful. This is super great for the skin and you can customize it based on your personal needs or the needs of the person you’re giving it to.
There are only 2 ingredients involved in this: essential oils and fractionated coconut oil. Although I must give a word of caution on essential oils. They are amazing and natural, but that doesn’t mean they’re all safe no matter what. Before you use any oils on your body, make sure they are high quality and pure and also safe for the skin, as not all oils are. Also do a test first. Any person can be allergic to anything, natural or not.

Now lets get to mixing! I choose to use mostly Eden’s Garden for most of my essential oils since they are pure and also budget friendly. I’ve been using them for a little over a year now and I couldn’t be more thrilled with them.
My personal blend consists of patchouli, lavender, bergamot, and vanilla, but you can use any safe oils or safe blends that you would like. A lot of websites have the safety information listed for each oil/blend. You can even just do lavender oil for a very nice, calming lotion.

In a glass spray bottle, add your essential oils. Swirl them around and take a sniff to make sure you like the scent. Make any adjustments you would like and then fill the bottle with fractionated coconut oil and give it a good shake. It is now ready to use or to gift.

You can find glass spray bottles on amazon and you can get the fractionated coconut oil from your local grocery store. I’ll include a link to the Eden’s Garden website below.
Since glass spray bottles come in lots of sizes, you can cut the recipe in half to make several smaller bottles of spray on lotion. Whatever you decide, always make sure to use glass so the oils don’t break down the plastic bottle.
